Mass Timber Innovation and Design Center

This competition invites proposals for a Mass Timber Innovation and Design Center in Vancouver that advances research, fabrication, and public engagement around timber construction. Set within Stanley Park, the project calls for a high-performance campus integrating exhibition spaces, labs, prototyping yards, and educational facilities into the surrounding landscape. Designs should explore sustainable mass timber systems, adaptability, and low-impact construction while responding sensitively to the ecological and cultural context of the site, including the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
